"I couldn't get on to the Alizonne therapy fast enough and it's been fast! fast! fast! all the way. Fast! fast! fast! weight loss, but better still fast! fast! fast! inch loss. I still need to be a stone lighter to get into the clothes I used to wear, but with this treatment, the inches drop off even more quickly than the weight so you look great faster. Also, you feel fantastic and have new found energy - you buzz with life. My hair has found a new lustre, gone is the itchy scalp, my sinuses are unbunged and the 'forever headache' is a thing of the past! Shopping is now for new clothes, NOT food!"
Karen Hayselden, Sheffield
"For me a life-changing experience. Not only the weight loss but the health benefits and self-confidence. All staff very helpful and the therapy very easy to follow. Excellent results"
Andrea Marshall, Leeds.
"This weight reduction programme was recommended to me by a friend who was doing really well with it and thought it might suit me. He was right!
At first I couldn't really believe that at last there was something that could help me to be a normal size and weight again, but after only a few weeks, I started to believe that this would work. Now I recommend it to anyone who needs to lose weight.
I've found the fact that there are clear rules of what you can and can't eat or drink definitely helps, as if it's not on the list you can't have it and that's that.
The staff have been an enormous help with ideas for recipes and advice on how to handle awkward situations such as evenings out etc.
The atmosphere in the clinic is very upbeat and welcoming. The regular blood tests combined with the supplements I have been given to take each day have reassured me that I have remained healthy whilst losing this weight - in fact I am healthier than I was before I started and definitely happier.
Only a couple more stones to go and all my dreams will have come true.
Thank you to everyone at Alizonne Leeds."
Sharon Skinner, Doncaster.
"This really works! I followed the 'simple rules' and have lost almost 5 stones. It is now early July and I am 5 stones lighter than I was in early March!
During my first consultation, the doctor told me that I would hit 12 stones in 12 weeks. At the time, this seemed too good to be true, However 12 weeks later I have indeed hit my target weight.
I have given away my old clothes and now I have a new wardrobe and more energy.
If you are in two minds about starting this treatment - just do it!"
Richard Davis, Ilkley.
"This treatment has been the best thing I have done this year.
After having two children within three years my weight had notched up to 13 stones. This, together with the fact that I was soon due to turn 40, made me decide that 2007 had to be the 'Year of the Body'.
It took 10 weeks to reach my ideal weight of 10½ stones and I now have the figure of someone half my age.
It is an expensive programme but the high cost makes you commit to it - because my wallet was taking a bashing I was not going to quit or cheat!"
Linda Davis, Ilkley.
"Alizonne has been amazing.
I've tried every diet fad and slimming club for over 30 years all with no great success.
Yet three months with Alizonne and I've achieved what I thought was impossible.
It's been the best diet I have ever tried and it was so easy.
The weekly weight loss was so motivating.
The choice of food and drink meant I never once felt excluded or deprived at social gatherings. I dieted over Christmas and New Year and was never hungry or miserable.
The cost was money very well spent. I feel I look good and my confidence and self esteem has really improved.
It's changed the way I think of food. I've been re-educated. I'm not obsessed with food anymore and what I can and can't eat.
I would recommend Alizonne to anyone.
01/11/07 to 01/02/08 - three months and 3st 8lbs.
Many thanks to you all for helping me to change my life."
Janet Longden, Cleveland.
"As I approached my fiftieth birthday I became increasingly unhappy about my weight, being fifty wasn't the problem, but being fat and fifty was!
I had considered the Alizonne clinic before but was put off by the cost. I eventually decided to go ahead after realising that I had reached the age where my weight was no longer just a vanity issue but was affecting my quality of life and more than likely my life expectancy too. How do you put a price on that?
It was the best decision I've made for years, I'm now four and a half stones lighter and feel fantastic. Everyone at the clinic has been kind, helpful and motivating from start to finish and it's good to know that they will be keeping an eye on me over the coming months to help me maintain my weight loss. "
Thank you."
Sharon Britton, Leeds.
"The best decision I've ever made.
Worth every penny for my new lease of life.
The improvement in my health is wonderful!"
Gillian Ellis, Leeds.
"Here's me on the front of the card taking part in my new favourite hobby.
Was 15st 2lbs.
Now 10st 4lbs.
To all of the team:
Thank you for your help and support.
No longer on blood pressure medication!
You've given me my life back!!"
Lynda Fahey, Leeds.
"In January my daughter announced that she would be getting married in Cyprus in August. By this time the decision had been made for me! I had a dream to lose four and a half stones between February and July. After thirty years of dieting unsuccessfully using all of the conventional diets and methods, I needed to try something different which would give me lasting results.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Alizonne Clinic to anyone like me who has spent years trying to lose and keep off the weight.
The easy to follow, pleasant diet and body contouring certainly worked for me.
My health was monitored throughout the diet and I felt a lot better than I had for years.
The doctors, nurses and client advisers at the clinic are excellent. Their knowledge and skills are first class and show genuine care and compassion for their clients.
I have been overwhelmed by the results and feel like a new woman as I prepare for my daughter's wedding and show a new me to my family and friends!
Thank you to the staff who have made this dream possible."
Anne Margrave, Wakefield.
"Thank you so much for my lovely orchids and card with so many kind messages.
Thank you also for the never ending support and encouragement you have given me over the past few months.
You have always been most friendly, considerate and helpful, ready to listen and advise.
Consummate professionals one and all."
Glynnis Thomson, Wakefield.
"To all at Alizonne:
Thank you for all your help and support.
You have given me my confidence and my life back.
I will be forever in your debt!
Thank you!"
Victoria Thornton, Garforth.
"Hello, My name is Greg. 14 weeks ago I was 16 and a half stone and today I'm just 12 stone.
I've lost over a foot around my middle and more around my waist, and it's been the easiest thing I've ever done.
The reason I've been asked to tell my story is that I had a special reason for coming to this Clinic back in February. Being the size I was had brought about several serious medical conditions and I was very frightened. About 4 years back I was diagnosed with "Fatty Liver", which sounds harmless enough but which can lead to cirrhosis of the Liver as it develops. A worrying score on your Liver Function Test is 40 and mine was in the 90s. I was told to modify my diet and take more exercise, which I tried to do but obviously failed. In December last year I was told that my score was 206 and that I should prepare myself for a Liver Biopsy.
Also about that time, a Company Medical led to a diagnosis of Diabetes, which was a complete shock to me, since I'd never been warned about my blood sugar or anything like that. Mine was suddenly high, but the Doctors were most concerned about the extremely high levels of fat in my bloodstream - my "Lipids" score, which should never be over 2.3 was ranging between 11 and 13. I've since been told that a score that high indicates that I was heading towards acute Pancreatitis, which carries with it a 50% chance of mortality.
The week I got the diabetes diagnosis, I saw two TV documentaries: one on gastric band operations and the other on the Alizonne programme.
I'm sure you've all seen shows about gastric band operations and the huge weight loss afterwards. I have always been put off them by the risks of surgery, the complications and the further surgery required afterwards to remove all the extra loose skin and relocate the nipples and so on. I looked at one man and thought: "Well, I STILL wouldn't want to take my top off at the beach even after all that!"
The documentary about the Alizonne programme (you can watch it on the Alizonne website) was different and I was amazed to see what could be achieved with diet alone, with no surgery, particularly that there was no evidence of baggy skin afterwards. I think if all I'd read was a brochure I'd have considered it a hoax and moved on, but I couldn't deny what I'd seen happen to the client on the TV documentary.
When I came to see Dr Palmer, here, I steeled myself to be disappointed, to be told that my medical problems meant that I couldn't be safely treated at the Clinic. Instead, to my surprise and delight, Dr Palmer told me that I could go ahead and that he was confident that the programme would actually help with my medical problems.
Well, four weeks later I stood up at one of the clinics' open evenings and told everyone the exciting news that my Lipid score had reverted to normal in just 3 weeks and that my Liver Function was down from 206 to 140. I was over the moon. Well, I can tell you today that my blood sugar is no also entirely normal and that my Liver Function is a mere 26 and well within the normal range for the first time in years.
The Consultants at my local Hospital are astounded, my Diabetic Nurse wants to tell other patients about the programme, and my initially sceptical GP has come around and is very pleased.
The Alizonne programme works, and it works FAST. I've not struggled with it - it's not been a hardship. You eat 5 times a day (6 if you're active) and can have as much as you like of some things to keep you from feeling hungry.
I've still got a few weeks to go, but I can already see that I'll be eating in a different way when I come to the end, having become accustomed to more healthy foods and eating more frequently and regularly.
I'm getting a real kick out of being able to wear clothes that have been in my cupboards for 10 years now, and am looking forward to a beach holiday this Summer."
Greg White, Leeds.
"Hello, my name is Fiona.
I started dancing at the age of four and trained at Horsham Dancers Club, Kingston Studios, Pineapple Studio's & Starlight Studio's. My repertoire includes Ballroom, Latin American, Old Time, Disco, Rock'n'Roll, Jazz, Tap, Modern & Stage dancing.
I am currently training with James Goodman at the Len Goodman School of Dancing.
I have produced, directed, stage managed & choreographed numerous productions throughout the country, as well as being choreographer for various productions at The London Palladium, Theatre Royal, Sadlers Wells, Her Majesty's & The Royal Albert Hall.
I have worked with Bill Buckley, Cheryl Baker, Faith Brown, Natalie Cassidy, Mark Curry, Gwen Dickey, Katy Edwards, Bonnie Langford, Andrew Lyndford, Pat Sharp, Wayne Sleep and Jessie Wallace.
My television credits include Inspector Morse & choreographic work for Sky TV.
I got pregnant in 2005 weighing about 13 stones but I was very fit
12 weeks into pregnancy I was told I had SPD Symphysis pubis dysfunction.
I could hardly walk for the remaining time of my pregnancy and this is when I gained most weight. I was told it would be fine after birth but it wasn't.
I found an amazing osteopathth in Tunbridge Wells, QUENTIN SHAW D.O. who trained for over 10 years with the late John Wernham - regarded as one of the professions most skilled osteopaths.
Quentin also acted as Vice principal at the John Wernham college of osteopathy for 8 years until 2001. He now dedicates his time to practice and research. He is internationally recognised for treating pregnancy related pelvic and spinal problems including SPD.
After a time I finally walked without pain but the weight was still there.
I tried every diet, Lighter Life (several times), weight watchers......you name it...
I hit depression as I had no confidence and missed dancing myself and it became an awful circle.
I needed to get fit to dance but carried too much weight to do so.
I was on Valium, sleeping tablets and anti-depressants
I was finally told November last year I would need a gastric band as I was not able to be helped in any other way but where I live you can’t get it under NHS. It would cost £6-7,000.
I went home and cried but on the way home had bought a magazine which is where I saw an article on Alizonne and I contacted you straight away and never looked back!
I started dancing again a little from about April as I had lost 6 stones.
I resumed my dance training with James Goodman and Len Goodman's School of Dance in Dartford.
I am producing. directing and choreographing a show in November at the Capitol Theatre in Horsham called Pure Cabaret.
It’s a cast of 22 and I will be singing and dancing on stage.
I haven't danced on stage since 2003 - I just didn't have the confidence.
I am very nervous as I need to raise my fitness but it's like a dream come true
I never thought in my wildest dreams it would be possible.
Something inside me died a long time ago - I have realised that it was because I couldn't dance.
Thanks to Alizonne that has changed. Now I have lost all the weight my confidence is slowly returning."
Fiona, London.
"It's four months since I started the Alizonne programme. Back in February I was nearly 12 stone. That's a lot for a short guy. I struggled to get into size 36" jeans, my knees hurt, and climbing stairs was getting painful. I'd feel wiped at the end of the working day and often got pressure headaches.
Within 10 weeks on the Alizonne programme I was down to my target of 10st. Five weeks later I'm still 10st. I fit comfortably in size 32" again, I've much more energy and I feel great. No tiredness or headaches. Alizonne is the best thing I have done for my health ever, and I warmly recommend it.
I'd considered various weight loss plans before. There was no way I was going to any sort of group. The gym was not an option either: too boring. Same with the rowing-machine gathering dust in the bedroom for the last five years. I enrolled in internet-based schemes where you enter everything you eat into tables, but found them rather tedious. I did Atkins once for two weeks and my insides practically dried up.
I got the Alizonne idea from a friend. I hadn't seen her for ages and hardly recognised her at first. She'd lost 3 stone and looked fabulous. She explained how this diet works, what ketosis is, the role of metabolic rate, the yo-yo effect. I thought if she can do it, so can I. Yes, it was expensive, but everything else ticked all the right boxes for me, so I booked an assessment appointment.
I thought that Dr. Palmer would say I wasn't suitable because I had only 2 stones to lose. He put me on Phase 2 and mapped out my likely weight loss over the next 8 to 10 weeks. I had only some slight dizziness for half an hour in the first week but no other problems whatever. Certainly no hunger. I did get a bit bored with fish and chicken, but livened them up with spices and herbs. At first, drinking 2 litres of water a day was a chore, so I bought sparkling water and added lemon juice to make it more palatable. I didn't like tea without milk so switched to green tea. I began to like black coffee again, too. Maybe it's because I'm not very skilled in the culinary arts but I wasn't inspired to combine various protein sachets to make rhubarb and ginger pizza-base or chocolate and potato kroustie or whatever. I just ripped them open, added water, stirred and scarfed. It's just to provide nutrients and depress your appetite after all.
It may sound daft, but part of the reason Alizonne worked for me was the strictness of the regime. I didn't have to think. I only had to do it. Every thing's pre-packed or measured. Eat this much of this food at this time. That's your lot. I knew it was well evidenced, for a particular purpose, a limited time, and that was good enough for me.
Apart from providing a balanced low-calorie diet doing something like Alizonne brings home to you some really important things about your relationship with food. I'd always prided myself on eating what I considered to be healthy food, leaving out fatty or processed stuff. But I soon learned I'd been kidding myself about a lot of it. Just because I bought flapjacks from Holland & Barrett didn't make them a "healthy" snack, and certainly not when I was scoffing them every day. They're 500 calories each, for heaven's sake: the equivalent of a whole meal! I'd avoid fish and chips or similar fatty foods, but I'd think nothing of drowning my 'healthy' vegetables and salads in processed sauces and dressings. I'd eat porridge in the morning and think: Mm, healthy start to your day. But it'd be with topped with tinned fruit, honey and full-fat yogurt. All of this was made worse by my complete ignorance of portion sizes. Was it any wonder I was putting on so much weight?
Yes, Alizonne is an education. And yes, I could have got this education in a weight watchers group or on the net. But for me it goes in better if I hear it once, believe in it, then just do it: rather than listen to folk talking about it, or give myself time to think about it too much. But I knew I'd need external monitoring. Having tried lots of times to lose weight on my own and failed, I'm convinced that there are some things in life for which professional support is invaluable, and this is definitely one of them.
Alizonne was quick. The ultrasound and contouring both helped to get the fat moving off me fast. The speed of the weight loss was highly motivating and helped me to stay focused. Once I realised that even one biscuit was going to halt the ketosis for three times as long as my weekly clinic treatment, there was no way I was going to step out of line. That biscuit costs 5p. The treatment costs 120 pounds. Do the math. It's perverse, I know, but the strictness worked for me. The procedure you go through is designed so that provided you follow it closely, you just can't fail. That said, I knew from the weekly checks on my progress that if I'd needed it, the extra support would have been there. The clinic staff were always welcoming and friendly and really committed to helping me reach my goal.
I've found a balance between good nutrition from foods I enjoy eating and exercise I enjoy doing. I stick to 3 meals, 2 snacks and my allotted calories per day. Ten stones is a healthy weight for me. I can easily check it for myself and as long as I stay just under it and fit into size 32" jeans, I know I'm doing OK.
Family and friends are amazed at how well I look and I feel great. Thank you everyone at the Alizonne Clinic for all your help."
Robert, West Yorkshire.
Our Alizonne Miracle :
"When I joined the Alizonne programme, it was because I wanted a different future to the one that I suspect was guaranteed; a lifetime of joint problems, diabetes and, quite probably a stroke. My blood pressure was very high and I was 6 stone over weight and at only 5ft 2, I was seriously concerned for my health.
What I got instead, was a miracle! As I write this I am 7 months pregnant! I hope my story will inspire you to join the programme and give it 100% commitment – I can guarantee you – it works, it really does and it could change your future too.
A neighbour had a stroke and as I watched her husband nurse her though their retirement I became scared that that could be my husband one day. Did I want to be responsible for my wonderful husband’s retirement being spent as a carer instead of travelling the world like we planned?
The past ten years had been difficult for us – we tried to start a family and at first everything was great. I became pregnant after a few months but at 12 weeks I lost the baby. It was horrendous but we took comfort in the fact that we would try again. We did, but we lost that one too. In a 5 year period, we had 5 miscarriages in all. There were large gaps of infertility between them and although the doctors were unable to establish a reason for either the problems conceiving or, in turn, the miscarriages, in the back of my mind every time was the inevitable question “was my weight to blame”? I wasn't 6 stone overweight when we started to plan our family, but with each loss, I put on more weight. At such difficult times it’s so easy to comfort eat. Then I would panic that my weight was the problem and I would embark on yet another crash diet – it became a vicious circle.
Our last miscarriage was 8 years ago and then 5 years ago we accepted that our future didn't hold the much longed for children that, in the early days, we presumed would happen without issue.
By the time I discovered Alizonne, we had accepted that we wouldn't have children, our hearts had healed and we had created a different life path. We were incredibly happy with our lot and the only blot on the horizon was the health issues that I knew were, inevitably, heading my way.
Alizonne was, quite literally, my saviour. I found the first trip so comforting; the doctors, therapists and staff were so incredibly kind and sensitive. It is not easy to display our vulnerabilities - people with weight problems have usually spent a lifetime developing coping strategies, so to open up to complete strangers was never going to be easy – and yet it was. I never felt judged. I never felt uncomfortable. I never felt stupid for letting myself get to that position. I never felt scared (expect for the first 2 minutes – but I am only human!!)
The diet was easy to follow. The food was really nice and easy and quick to prepare and the vegetables and salad made me feel so incredibly healthy. I never felt hungry. The vitamin and mineral supplements made my skin glow, my nails strengthened, my hair shone, my eyes were even brighter – friends asked me if I had been on a TV makeover programme!
By the time I hit my target of 6 stones I was, quite literally walking on air. I felt that my future had been given back to me. I found a person inside of me who I had totally forgotten about; my husband got a new wife.
But, in the middle of the excitement of getting to know myself again and of being able to walk into any shop and choose clothes off all the rails and not just from certain sections, I never expected the biggest benefit was so close by.
I had finished the plan for only 6 weeks when I fell pregnant. The shock was huge – after all those years, it really was the last thing we expected and my consultant is just as amazed. By ceasing the yo-yo dieting and by taking steps to repair my damaged body, I was quite literally preparing it for pregnancy. I was, without realising it, helping my body to get healthy enough to enable it to conceive. By cutting out alcohol; by eliminating rubbish and additives in many modern foods; and by finally creating an even path of healthy living - my body had repaired itself.
Ironically, because I am older now, my hormones are stronger and it is this that the doctors think have allowed me to hold onto this baby; but there not a shadow of doubt that repairing my damaged body allowed it to make a baby.
I cannot thank Alizonne enough; for their help, their sensitivity, their compassion, and their enthusiasm as the new me emerged week by week. But mostly, I cannot thank them enough for helping me and my husband receive the most sacred gift of all.”

To everyone at Alizonne Leeds, I send my sincere and grateful thanks for the friendly and professional help and support given to me recently whilst undergoing successfully, your amazing weight loss program. Life has changed for the better in so many positive ways and being a more healthy weight is making a massive difference to the quality of my new life.
Best wishes for the continuing success of the company.
Thank you. Susan Ward, Rochdale
As a woman in my late 60's who has carried an excess of 3 stone plus for several years, I was very apprehensive about going to a private clinic for weight loss. Although I have been able to maintain my previous weight, I have tried many diets and slimming clubs to lose the bulk, without success. I have always ended up hungry and giving up after a few weeks, only to put the few pounds that I lost back on again.
When I plucked up enough courage and walked into the Alizonne Clinic in Rothwell, I was welcomed and treated with respect and soon felt at ease. On consulting with the doctor and he said 10.5 stones was what I should weigh, my first though was, "I haven't been that weight for 40 years - can I do it?" Well I have - 14 weeks, and in all that time, I have not once felt hungry.
Yes, you have to put your mind to it and stick to what you are told to do. Yes, you may have to limit your social outings whilst you are going through the seven phases, but I can tell you it is worth it!! I am now a trim 10.5 stones and can wear lovely clothes and that always looked wrong on my before.
The weekly treatments have stopped my skin from getting saggy and the cost of it all (which has been worth it) is an incentive not to put the weight back on again. I will continue to visit the clinic monthly as advised.
To all the staff, a big thank you, I can now enjoy my 5th grandchild, who has been born during my treatments, in better health and hopefully see him grow up.
Jenny Wilson, Leeds
Since starting my alizonne journey 8 months ago my life has changed dramatically after losing just over 7 & a half stones. I look & feel tremendous with lots more confidence but for me the most important change thats happened is my new & improved health. I had high blood pressure when I started which I wasnt even aware of & felt very sluggish with not much energy. My blood pressure is now at a normal healthy reading & I can now walk for miles without getting short of breath or tightness in my chest. My new health far outways all the other good elements that alizonne has returned to my life. I would recomend the alizonne weight loss programme to everyone its given me my life back.
Joanne Garbett, Leeds
In April of 2009 I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, a Fatty Liver and High Blood Pressure, I made a decision in November of 2010 to loose weight and when I read the Alizonne advert in the Yorkshire Life Magazine I picked up the phone and made an appointment. Over the period of 34 weeks my blood pressure has improved dramatically, I no longer have a liver condition all my blood tests are in the middle range of normal and I am no longer diabetic. I take no medication and the metamorphic change in my appearance and weight loss has given me a new lease of life. I am living proof that the Alizonne Weight Loss Treatment combined with strong will and a desire to loose weight can be achieved without the need for drastic invasive surgery.I would recommend the Alizonne WLT to anyone with a Weight Problem.
Nigel Aveyard, East Yorkshire
I have always struggled with my weight since being a child; I have attempted many weight loss plans but have always given up when I hit any hurdles and the going got tough. After hearing about Alizonne on the radio, I contacted them made an appointment with one of their Doctors, had the plan explained to me, it sounded too good to be true, so it took me another 4-months to start; 4 wasted months!! When I started I found the plan easy to follow, I did not feel hungry even in the early days and have learnt that eating regularly is a must for your body to work properly; a lesson I will take on to the next phase of my life. The staff at Alizonne have been very supportive since day one and continue to be so, even now I have hit my goal weight. The saying too good to be true is not always correct!!!!
