Cell therapy is undoubtedly the future for the repair and restoration to youthful health of many tissues in the body.

Already, the technology exists to grow certain human cells outside the body and to multiply them up into cell banks of billions of identical copies of themselves.

Their unique product Vavelta® has been developed, in particular, for the regenerative treatment of certain types of scars.
Clinical trial work is currently being undertaken in conjunction with the United States Military to further develop this treatment for potential use for injured military personnel.
We are proud to have been uniquely selected by Intercytex, because of Dr Palmer's previous pioneering experience in this field, to be the only clinic in the World where this cell therapy is now available to members of the general public outside of clinical trial research work.
Vavelta® consists of an injectable suspension of many millions of living human fibroblast cells, the very cells that are responsible for repair processes within our skin and the maintenance of our skin in its youthful state.
As we age, so do the fibroblast cells in our skin. They become much less active, in fact almost dormant, and many of them die. This results in the skin becoming less able to maintain its youthful state and less efficient at repairing itself the older we get.
However, the Vavelta® cells are derived from tiny fragment of skin that was originally sampled from a newborn baby so that after development into the cell bank of billions of cells, each identical cell is in its most youthful state possible - these cells are in fact zero years old.
This means that with Vavelta® we now have available a virtually limitless supply of these extremely youthful cells which we can use whenever necessary to heal and repair the skin and to help to maintain its youthful state.
We have already seen that with this treatment acne scars and certain other small depressed scars can be naturally and often permanently repaired without any of the risks or trauma or potential damage of other currently available treatment options such as laser resurfacing.
Restrictive, contracted and painful scars such as those often caused by burns have also been seen to be remarkably and probably permanently improved by the new cells as a result of Dr Palmer's previous pioneering work with such patients.
A common concern when first hearing about this treatment is: will the immune system reject and destroy the new cells if they are not the patient’s own?
In fact, research has shown us that fibroblast cells are actually 'immune silent' as they have no foreign proteins (antigens) on their surface and so there are no compatibility issues that arise.
Safety studies have already been completed with Vavelta® and there were no significant adverse events in any of the subjects studied.
