You should first make a brief appointment with the doctor so that he can examine your skin and advise regarding the diagnosis and you whether your particular problem can be safely delt with at the clinic.
Any abnormality that is suspected of being skin cancer will not be removed and you will be referred urgently to an appropriate hospital based plastic surgeon.
If your skin abnormality is suitable for treatment, this will be arranged for you with a separate appointment and will take no longer than 30 minutes.
All tissue removed will be sent to the pathology laboratory for microscopic examination and confirmation of the diagnosis.
Most problems such as small warts, skin tags and scaly types of growths (keratoses) can usually be removed without any stitches and without significant risk of leaving any scarring.
You will be advised regarding what is possible for your problem at your initial consultation.
